Privacy app has two-fold of Anti-SIM Swap capabilities. Firstly, during Create Account procedure, Privacy will extract the User Device ID, and associates the phone unique device ID and SIM ID to Privacy App ID. If users changes their SIM card, device, or phone number, Privacy apps will prompt them to update the Privacy App ID database. If failing to do so, their Privacy App will not works, and not able to indicate the communications are through Privacy apps. It is similar to the of effect of Apple’s iMessage. Messages between iMessage will have blue chat bubbles, while messages from non-iMessage is display with green chat bubbles. Secondly, for any communication using any Privacy Apps, the CallerID will indicates whether or not the caller uses Privacy App. If not, then the receivers will be alerted they are potentially exposed to SIM Swap risk.
How does Privacy Apps Anti-Scam feature works?
Privacy implements both Reactive and Proactive Anti-Scam capabilities. Like all Internet service providers include Robocall apps, Privacy apps will extract User Contact List to build its CallerID database. Unlike those service providers, we will not commercialize those data. Like Robocall apps, Privacy also implements Reactive Anti-Scam capability for user to report in any malicious events so we can collect and blacklist those contact numbers. Unlike Robocall apps, Privacy has Proactive capability with its “Check Caller” function. If one is uncomfortable with any call, he/she just have to press on “Check Caller” button. This will immediate active call tracing and AI analysis to determine whether or not call originated using malicious telephone number spoofing for Interactive VoIP Robocall (IVR).
